How to Check the Battery Capacity on your iPhone or Apple Watch
We are all aware the battery capacity of our smartphones and smartwatches starts to diminish from the moment we begin to use them. This means the length of time you can use your smartphone or smartwatch before it needs to be recharged will also start to reduce.
Signs that suggest the battery is beginning to deteriorate are apps take longer to launch and run, slower frame rates when scrolling through an app, the screen is no longer as bright as it used to be, and the volume is not as loud.
Since the capacity of a battery will affect the performance of a smartphone 0r smartwatch, it will also affect your smartphone or smartwatch’s value. It is therefore important to monitor the capacity of your smartphone or smartwatch if you want to sell it for a higher price. Amongst other criteria, Greener Mobile for example, requires the capacity of an iPhone or Apple Watch to be 90% or greater before its condition can be classified as “Excellent, Like-new”.
For Apple (iPhone or Apple Watch) users, the maximum capacity of your battery can be found by following these simple steps:
- On your iPhone, go to “Settings”
- Select “Battery”
- Select “Battery Health”.
This screen will show the Maximum Capacity as a percentage that represents the health of your battery.
Therefore, if you intend on selling your smartphone or smartwatch and receiving a higher price, then it is advisable to keep an eye on the health of your battery and to sell it before the battery capacity drops too low.
